Tally Prime 4.0 is expected to be live in the first week of December. The beta release is already out. The reason Tally user are waiting for it’s release is it’s exciting features. Three major features which are coming in Tally Prime 4.0 are :

Dashboard: Every CEO will now use Tally Prime 4.0
Tally Prime 4.0 dashboard is one place every CEO or owner of a business would love to be. It is now providing you the 360 view of any business just at one place. The dashboard feature is so flexible to use that user can configure it as per his requirements. The information is configurable using graphs as well as data or both.

WhatsApp Messaging: Now your Tally would talk
This is another major feature which is very exciting and refreshing to use. There are many Tally extensions available for WhatsApp messaging but this feature is altogether different from them. The main attraction of Tally Prime 4.0 WhatsApp messaging are
- It is directly connected with meta partner.
- you will be using WhatsApp platform to send messaging
- your existing WhatsApp or WhatsApp business numbers would be used.
- you would save on your privacy
- Multiple people can send messages from a single number.
- Of course its a paid version, so you need to pay for your messages to meta.

Import from excel: Automate your entries in Tally Prime 4.0
The third major enhancement Tally Prime 4.0 is going to have is the ability to get its data from excel itself. Now anyone can design i’s own templates and then set them to use is again and again to import data filled in other software from excel to Tally Prime.
The main points here to notice are
- You would be able to create templates according to your need.
- The readymade templates provided by Tally are self explanatory and are easy to use.
- You can import masters as well as transaction via excel to Tally Prime.
- Data can be imported with inventory as well as without inventory.
Other minor features of Tally Prime 4.0
Previous Balance
Now Tally invoice would carry the current balance and the previous balance of every customer if you want. While printing any invoice just go to configuration and type previous and you would see 
an option of Show previous and current balance of the ledger.
Put this to yes by pressing enter and in invoice you would see the previous and the current balance of the party. You can check it in the invoice preview also.
Now you would not need any TCP or any Tally customization for this feature.
Partial payments to payment requests through UPI
Now you would be able to make part payments by scanning the QR code in your invoice. In earlier versions the only option was to pay in full and we know that in market payment come always in parts. so this feature can be utilized.
Cash Payment QR code
Now QR codes can be printed for cash transactions also. You can generate QR codes in simple invoice also.
Another enhancement done is that now you can generate a payment link prior to print any invoice.
