Tally 8.1 rel 1.2 which was expected to come on Sep 15 seems to be delayed for another month. It is worth mentioning that people who has purchased payroll and have upgraded to Tally 8.1 are eagerly waiting for rel 1.2 . Payroll is at present not available for Tally 8.1 and it was scheduled to be incorporated in rel 1.2.
Many other options like ad-on modules are not working in rel 1.1. If you are planning to buy tally developer for customization then it is not available for purchase through tally shop feature. Earlier in Tally 7.2 rel 3.12 there was an option for purchase of tally developer though TVP’s.
Tally Developer version 1.1 is also on cards which would be for Tally 8.1.
Both these products are expected to be on site in the first week of Oct.
